2 Apostles in One Week!

Image
Hello! Yay! So Elder Rasband is coming this Sunday and Elder Holland is coming next Saturday! 😄 exciting times! Also, #LightTheWorld time is here again! :) best time to be a missionary! So since I've been resting my legs this week, not too much has happened. But, my bike is fixed and my legs are better and I'm able to bike and work again! :) thanks for all the prayers!!  We have Mission Leadership council tomorrow, so that will be fun to see some of my missionary friends and council together about all the things going on in the mission!  Its been a struggle to get appointments with people we are teaching - the holidays are a busy time for everyone - so we are really working and praying to find more people to teach and spread the good news of the gospel!  Even though Thanksgiving has passed, we can be thankful in our everyday circumstances!! 😁 "...humble yourselves even to the dust, and worship God, in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth...

Sorry for the slack!

Hi all! Sorry I've been slacking. Its been busy! We had friendsgiving with our zone today! :) It’s been a real busy week! I saw lots of friends from past areas this week including the Zamarron and Schwartz families :)  Its getting chilly at night here haha we wear gloves when we bike at night! Send prayers! Love you all. Ponder this quote:) And heres some cool stuff i learned this week: Weakness precedes humility  Humility precedes strengths! Trials precede faith Faith precedes miracles! --  Sister Garrick African breads Sister V and I made! I ate goat 😅😅 roommates :)) me and sista V at the chapel known as the bathtub building  face masks with the roommates

I took a long nap today so no time for a weekly but maybe next week. --  Sister Garrick at zone conference - sister V wanted me to wear her skirt :) at church she wanted a pic when she was borrowing my dress on bike a light we tried to lock our bikes to but then.. some African beef and rice and potatoes meal sister V made for us..so good

Christmas is starting early!

So a weird thing hit me this week... haha Sister V hit her 3 months out in the field..,and i realized I have 3 months left on the mission.. ahhhhhh I don't want to come home I can't wrap my head around not being a full time missionary! Definitely making the most of it and working hard!  Christina from my last area is getting baptized in a couple weeks! Im so excited to go! Her husband is also coming to my area tomorrow to translate arabic in a lesson with us! We had a 2 day Leadership Training Meeting..it was long and exhausting but motivating, spiritual, and fun! We had lunch and dinner and a blitz and dessert and activities. It was great to see some of my favorite missionaries! :)  On Halloween, we celebrated by going to the temple and doing work for our ancestors. Very cool and peaceful experience.  This week i taught Sister Vumiliya about Santa Claus, Christmas trees, Easter eggs, the easter bunny, daylight savings, the tooth fairy, etc. Hahah she think...
