"Dunk" or treat!

Image
Another great week! Okay my title thing is so clever haha but you'll have to read to see why and hear the MIRACLE story behind it!  So on Thursday, we had our first lesson with Heather! We were on "splits", so I was with a member from a different ward, and I taught the Restoration by myself.. haha.. woo! Luckily, the members (whose house we were at) are SO amazing and joined in on the lesson. Their comments were so essential. Members are some of the best missionaries! Heather received the message so well and we were able to answer all her questions. We talked about baptism and she said that if she received an answer that this is Christs church, she would be baptized. The next night, at the trunk or treat, she expressed her desire to "be a full Mormon" haha. We told her she could be baptized and she was SO excited!! We set November 18th as her date! She's awesome we are so excited for her! (Dunk or treat.. because shes on date to get dunked haha..ha..g...

"Trunky" or Treat!

Its been a lonnnnng week..but a good one! We met Jeremy and Eyvonne from Korea! They have been searching for a church and they are going to start meeting with us! Jeremy speaks veryyyy little English so it will be interesting to see how it goes, but we ordered him a Korean Book of Mormon! Someone else who just committed to meeting with us is Heather. She is an amazing 16 year old girl who is so in tune with the Spirit. She asked a member at school if she would take her to church! She has been coming the past few weeks and asked for a Book of Mormon and to have us teach her more. She has felt the spirit at church and God has touched her heart in ways that she cannot comprehend :)  We are planning a Mesa Visitors center trip with Alex soon so we are excited to go there again! We had our first (of three) trunk or treats! It was a blast!  A huge topic this week was that there are no coincidences. God really does have a plan for each of us. There is divine design behin...

Such a crazy week!  We lost Sonoran Mountain and gained Arrowhead Ranch so that's new! Rachel got baptized Saturday! She's so excited to go to the temple soon :) It was such a spiritual experience. She's amazing. Elder Auna of the Seventy came from Hawaii to stake conference! I got to sing for him and our mission president and stake president and bishops and people and it was such a cool experience. The spirit was so strong, i almost couldn't get through the song without crying (I Heard Him Come). He spoke and it was amazing he just emulates Christlike joy and he is so genuine and cool. He told me i should be in The Mormon Tabernacle Choir in the future haha.  Something that stuck out to me at stake conference was that we should all try to improve these 3 things: listen, empathize, and apologize. Never ever hesitate to follow a prompting. Never suppress a generous thought. Never hesitate to bless someones life in even the smallest of ways; like smiling and ...

Roadtrip!

Heyy!! I'm emailing today because its transfer week so P-day is on Tuesdays every 6 weeks. So this was the longest week but so jam packed busy. Let's start with sad news so that we have a happy ending haha.. soo we lost our favorite ward, Sonoran Mountain, with all our progressing investigators, who we love so much, and our family away from home, the Zamarrons :( There were ward boundary and building changes. So, since transfers are this week, they fixed it all up and we got transferred out of that ward. But, we still have our 2 other great wards, and new ward, Arrowhead ranch (which actually has a lot of members we already know because the ward boundaries changed between them and Sierra Verde).  ANYWAY, I feel comfort and peace about this whole situation and... drum roll please, SISTER KNOX IS AN STL (sister training leader)!! I'm so pumped for her. She is so humble and loving and is such a wonderful example and trainer and leader. Knox rocks.  Ok so ROADTRIP TO...

"The Lord trusts you! Do you trust Him?"

This week was crazy. It went by so fast, yet so slow.. its so strange. So, highlight of my week was General Conference for sure! If you missed it, here's the link to all the talks:  https://www.lds.org/ general-conference?cid=HP_SA_ 23-9-2017_dGC_fBCAST_xLIDyL1- B_&lang=eng Some of my favorites were Elder Rasband, Elder Parella, Elder Andersen, and President Nelson. But, I loved ALL of them. One main thing that was taught consistently was Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths." I have learned that the Lord trusts us! And we must trust Him! That's the best way to grow closer to Christ. Have hope, faith, and trust in Him and God's plan for you; even if its not what you expected. "Not my will, but Thy will be done." Christ said it and set the example for all of us. We must trust in our Father in Heaven. He loves us and knows ...
