Roadtrip!
Heyy!! I'm emailing today because its transfer week so P-day is on Tuesdays every 6 weeks.
So this was the longest week but so jam packed busy. Let's start with sad news so that we have a happy ending haha.. soo we lost our favorite ward, Sonoran Mountain, with all our progressing investigators, who we love so much, and our family away from home, the Zamarrons :( There were ward boundary and building changes. So, since transfers are this week, they fixed it all up and we got transferred out of that ward. But, we still have our 2 other great wards, and new ward, Arrowhead ranch (which actually has a lot of members we already know because the ward boundaries changed between them and Sierra Verde).
ANYWAY, I feel comfort and peace about this whole situation and... drum roll please, SISTER KNOX IS AN STL (sister training leader)!! I'm so pumped for her. She is so humble and loving and is such a wonderful example and trainer and leader. Knox rocks.
Ok so ROADTRIP TO MESA X2 was SO fun and spiritual!! Tuesday we went with Josh and his grandma and he loved it!! We learned a lot about the translation of the Book of Mormon, miracles that occurred, and more! The Mesa temple is sooo pretty. Its super cool and reminds me of biblical temples which is pretty unique. I took too many pictures so I'll just send a few. Oh, and they took us out to The Old Spaghetti Factory. Ive never been so full in my life after that meal haha.
Then Wednesday, we went with Rachel. She loved being there, feeling the spirit on the temple grounds, and is excited to go in the temple soon to be baptised for her ancestors so they can have the choice to accept Christ's gospel too! :)
Trainer/Trainee meeting was super fun! I got to see all my friends from the MTC! Sister Knox and I performed a musical number during the meeting so that was cool. I love that I can use music to bear my testimony and share Christ's Gospel.
I am grateful for music and the power it has to invite the spirit so quickly into any setting.
I am going to give all of you, anyone reading this, the same invitation i gave one of my wards when I spoke on Sunday. I invite all of you to come unto Christ. Prayerfully pick one Christlike attribute that you need to improve on. (faith, hope, charity and love, virtue, knowledge, patience, humility, diligence, obedience, etc.) All it requires is the desire to be more Christlike and the willingness to do/change whatever is necessary to help you accomplish your goal. Take it day by day, step by step. Christ taught us best that we learn and progress grace by grace..line upon line, precept upon precept.
SO. With all that said, pick 1 Christlike attribute you want to improve on personally this week. Pray for help with it each day this week and study it specifically in your daily scripture study. I promise that as you do this, you will see improvements, and you will grow closer to your Savior. I know it works because I have taken this challenge and seen real results. Don't stress yourself out. Do not become overwhelmed or discouraged when you fall short. Just pick one characteristic of Christ and strive to implement in more/better in your life this week. The Lord will help you and accept your honest efforts.
"Please don’t nag yourselves with thoughts of failure. Do not set goals far beyond your capacity to achieve. Simply do what you can do, in the best way you know how, and the Lord will accept your effort.”—President Gordon B. Hinckley
I love and pray for you all! Email me!! :)
