Going North!

Image
I'm getting transferred to Prescott!! I'm so excited! I have only heard good things about my new area and I cant wait to go there! :)) I've learned a TON here in Agua Fria, and transfers are always bittersweet, but I know I've accomplished my purposes for being down here and now its time for me to move on and find those in Prescott who I'm supposed to meet! This week has been very eventful! We each had 10 hours of service this week.. crazy. We helped chip paint and re-paint the entire outside of an old woman's house, we packed, moved, and cleaned a couple different houses of members that are moving. We have been busy! We found a few new investigators as well! I wish I could witness their progression but I know they are in good hands :) We were able to go to the Easter Pageant in Mesa which was incredible! I get emotional every time I learn about my Brother and Savior, Jesus Christ.  This Easter Sunday, we will be blessed to be able to hear from His pro...

This Week Flew By!

So this week, nothing too exciting happened...but Troybelle! Was confirmed!! She is still super sick but had enough strength to get to church yesterday! Thank you for your prayers!  We had a super fun service project and helped do a TON of yard work and burned all the dead trees.  On our way there, Sister Halls bike tire would not stay pumped up.  It got so bad we had to walk the last mile with our bikes haha.. it was funny though. We had a good week! Met a few families that are interested in learning more about Jesus Christ :) We are going to the Mesa Easter Pageant Wednesday night and we are soooo excited!! Its the last time for the next couple years soo we cant wait! We are going with a non member family who has a nephew/cousin on a mission in Mexico! So cool. We love them :)  Well this is pretty short but I cant really remember much from this week. The Lord will strengthen your back for the burden placed upon it. He helps you each day and sends d...

Goat Heads + Glass = Holy Bike Tires

So this week we had so many flat tires haha bike life.. but we are going strong and the hermanas should have their car back soon! We went on exchanges this week and I went to the Black Canyon/Solano area! Mostly Spanish speakers, and I met so many cool people! Margaret is a native American woman we had  a lesson with! She has recognized that the Book of Mormon is literally her family history and that she is a Lamanite! She doesn't know much about Jesus Christ so we talked about His life and His sacrifice and all the blessings we have because of Him. She told us that when she was growing up in her tribe, her mom would always tell about the man that came with holes in his hands. So powerful. It was incredible to hear that Lamanite ancestors have continued to pass down their experience of seeing Christ when He came and visited the people in the Americas after He was resurrected. Another cool person is Ivan. His first language is Karen which is a Burmese language. He speaks English fa...

This week in Agua Fria

We have had quite the week.  Nothing too exciting, but we have biked 12-20 miles every other day this week and will be doing that the next week or so! So thank you for all your prayers. I have definitely received strength beyond my own and I know Heavenly Father is watching over me, and hears our prayers! We had an awesome zone conference and learned some handy object lessons. One that I taught is out of Alma 32:28. I don't remember if I've already shared this with you all but if you read the verse, its comparing the word.. or the scriptures and teachings.. to a seed. It says that if the seed is good, you will experience one or more of these 4 things:  Swelling motions Enlarge your soul Enlighten your understanding Delicious unto you ...and those 4 ways that the spirit communicates with us spell out seed! So in order to know it is a good seed, the spirit will testify to you in one or more of those 4 ways :) Here is the full verse:  "Now, we wil...
