Good week!
Hello!!
This was a good week! Lots of bad and sad stuff happened, but we prayerfully pushed through and now I know that there truly is always a light at the end of the tunnel! Trials don't last forever. There IS good in everyday. There are blessings and tender mercies everyday. Gods hand is in our everyday life. He WILL strengthen you in times of need!
"...peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment; And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high.."
One sad thing that happened: we were teaching Lily, an 11 year old girl. Shes neighbors/friends with a less active family we teach weekly. She LOVED the lessons we give, and she expressed her desire to be baptized. When we told her that we could help her prepare for baptism, she was so relieved and excited and said "Finally!!" She said her mom was fine with her meeting with us. We gave her a Book of Mormon and went next door to meet her mom. Her mom, unfortunately, believed that the book was evil. She would not allow her daughter to keep it, read it, or come to church :( Lily was so sad. She said she can still come over for lessons at their neighbors house, so that's good! But it was the most heart breaking thing so watch Lily discover the gospel and understand it and feel the spirit, just have her hopes crushed. I have no doubts that she will join the church one day, when she is able to.
But good news! Mary came to the temple and did baptisms! It was an amazing and spiritual experience. I'm so grateful we could share it with her.
We also had a service project, outside our mission boundaries, that we went to as a zone! It was fun and awesome to see the difference after we cleaned up the alleys!
Brittany's baptism will be on Saturday and she is so excited! She has asked me to sing at it so I'm super excited about that too! She is awesome.
Troybelle is doing better! She is out of the hospital but still kind of weak. The friend that is baptizing her was in and out of the hospital as well so we are pushing it down a week, just to be safe :)
This is the Lords work. His words are my words. His teachings are my teachings. He is in charge and it is so amazing to be part of it and witness miracles! Love and miss you all!
