Lunch with Larry

Hey everyone! 

So this week was packed with fun and lessons and lots of great stuff! The Lord is hastening His work! 

So we went to the Mesa temple lights two more times this week, last week Monday, and Thursday with Mary and 2 of her great grandkids! It was such a great experience :) Becca and Bubba, her great grandkids, said they wanted to get baptized and go inside the temple. We started teaching them at the visitors center, and have had 2 lessons since - along with 3 more of her grandkids! 3 of them are on date to be baptized next month :)

Also, Larry came to visit me!! He drove 30 miles to take us out to lunch :') Its so nice to have a "grandpa" here! He's so awesome! He will get baptized one day haha he's just stubborn ;) 

Jeremiahs baptism was this week as well! We postponed Rays, but he will still get baptized one day :) He's doing great though!

We had our first lesson with Brittany and it went SO well!! She is so excited to learn more and said it feels right :) We have our next lesson with her tonight!

We went to a wedding reception - for dinner haha - for a couple who is no longer in our YSA ward! 

We finally met a woman, Ellen, who we've been trying to get in contact with! She says she will take off work when shes back in town so she can come to church! 

We have our mission Christmas party tomorrow! So pumped! 

My pday next week will be on Tuesday, because of Christmas! :) 

Keep lighting the world!! (Mormon.org) Its the last week before Christmas! I promise that as you keep Christ at the center of your lives, you can have the spirit of Christ(mas) with you all year long!

Houston, we have a baptism!

Hello, One last time! :') Houston was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this weekend! It was so powerful. The spirit was tangible.  It is such a bittersweet feeling to know this is my last pday and last email. I feel so much peace and fulfillment that the last 18 months of my life have been in the service of my God.  Around 4 years ago I prayed about how I wanted to serve a mission and asked Him if that was in line with His will for me. Heavenly Father led me to a verse in Doctrine and Covenants chapter 4 that says "..if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work". This was one of the rare times where my prayer was answered specifically and written out right in front of me.  Since then, I have received many more answers to my prayers. Its P-day Again!

Hi! Soo I mentioned it Saturday, but I have been transferred! I'm in Maryvale with my MTC companion, Sister Hall. We live with two Hermanas, Cienfuegos and Robison, who also came out the same time as us! Its so fun!  Maryvale is a tad different than Northern Glendale haha. The 2 sounds you always hear are cats meowing and sirens haha.. When I told Flo, a convert in my ward, that I was being transferred to Maryvale, she looked scared, started crying, hugged me super tight and started saying a Catholic type prayer haha.. Kinda made me worried about coming down here but its really not bad, and, the Lord protects His missionaries! I haven't met too many people yet, but the ones I have met are so generous and kind! We spent Thanksgiving with the Floyd's and their friends and family! They were also super kind to us and made us feel like family.  The sealing I went to was a sealing for Jenna and William Schwartz. Roadtrip!

Heyy!! I'm emailing today because its transfer week so P-day is on Tuesdays every 6 weeks. So this was the longest week but so jam packed busy. Let's start with sad news so that we have a happy ending haha.. soo we lost our favorite ward, Sonoran Mountain, with all our progressing investigators, who we love so much, and our family away from home, the Zamarrons :( There were ward boundary and building changes. So, since transfers are this week, they fixed it all up and we got transferred out of that ward. But, we still have our 2 other great wards, and new ward, Arrowhead ranch (which actually has a lot of members we already know because the ward boundaries changed between them and Sierra Verde).  ANYWAY, I feel comfort and peace about this whole situation and... drum roll please, SISTER KNOX IS AN STL (sister training leader)!!
