We Lit A Family on Fire

.Soo Tuesday night we had a Relief Society activity for self defense... it was very interesting haha it was like Rex Kwando from Napoleon Dynamite but in his 60s with white hair.  We learned some techniques though!

Wednesday morning we had an awesome lesson over face book messenger with Jhonaton! He's a returning less active in our YSA. He is feasting on the words of Christ as he studies and ponders the Book of Mormon. He had so many good questions, and we were glad we were having our lesson over messenger so we could look up the answers to some of his questions with different resources the church has.
Wednesday was also the day it rained, all day long! It was the first rainy day I've had on my whole mission! We were walking for a couple hours that night in the rain, and sister hall was hoping we'd get splashed by a car driving past haha..

Thursday we had dinner and a lesson with Brittany and Liz! It was nice to est with them at their apartment and have a good lesson on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is SO cool to see Brittany, a recent convert, be a solid ward missionary as she testifies to her friend Liz about these things that she has learned and gained a testimony on.

Friday we met with a lot of less actives and it was so nice to get to know them and bring the spirit into their homes! A lot of them came to church on Sunday too! :) Also, Sister Jeide, who is one of my favorite members in this area, finished painting the Houston temple for me! Its beautiful and if you want to buy one, or a different temple or any other art.. check out her Instagram CoriColors :)

Saturday night was funny haha.. so there is this object lesson about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we use as a dinner message sometimes where you draw the family, then write OOPS over it to symbolize that we aren't perfect, then using a lighter, the oops disappears. This is usually super cool, but this night, the girl drew the family in the bottom corner, and the paper lit on fire haha we accidentally burned their family.. it was so funny. I'll send a picture of it. We also talked with a guy outside who were very interested in learning more about the church! He said he has studied the LDS church and likes it a lot. Unfortunately, we got a call today that his wife wont allow him to meet with us :( but we talked so long with this guy that night, we had to run back to the church where our car was parked so we wouldn't get home late!

Last night, we went to the Mesa temple visitors center with Brittany, Liz, Troybelle, Steven and Pablo! It was such a spiritual experience for all of us and it was so special we could be there all together. But, the car we drove over in felt like an Autopia car haha.. it was scary but we made it alive!

God is a God of miracles! He will do what He needs to do to accomplish His purposes! He will prepare a way, when there seems like there is no way. He loves us! His purpose is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.  My purposes is to help Him accomplish that by inviting His children to come unto Christ and receive the fullness of His restored gospel. I testify that God knows us, is aware of us, and hears our prayers. I witness that Christ is our Savior, and He lives! If you have any questions please email me!!
Love and pray for you all!
