Bless The Rains

Hi! Not a ton of time!
Exchanges this week with Sister Crowther in my first area! It was so weird being back there and seeing people I knew, but cool to see that some people I found are now being taught and coming to church regularly! :)
Wednesday was the BEST day. Bless the rains, it rained!! Like a lot! Its been sprinkling here and there but not raining hard where we are, ever! We always seem to miss it. There's been monsoons and dust storms galore! It even flooded in parts of our area!
Anyway we had a lesson Wednesday with Anna (14 yr old girl) and Riley (12 yr old boy) and their mom who is returning to church after 7ish years. They are a family that we found because a young woman knew about Anna and we visited and helped them move from their house into an apartment. We taught them the first lesson and they want to get baptized! They are on date for August 11th :) we were so happy!! Miracles! #therecanbemiracles #whenyoubelieve #blesstherains we had another lesson with them Saturday and then they all came to church Sunday! :)
We had some unplanned service a couple times this week with the same person! Her name is Tammy and she is a less active member who just moved into an apartment the floor above us! We offered to help and helped her move 2 days in a row!
We had interviews Friday with President and it was super awesome. He showed us the history of the mission since 1984. He likes data haha hes a number guy and hes really fast at math - reminded me of my dad:)
Then he invited our zone to come on a hike with him and his wife right by the temple the next morning! So, we got up at 5:15 and went over to Thunderbird Park and hiked all together. It was so fun! And it was nice and cloudy, but very humid.
We did some more service and helped a part member family remove iron poles and chicken wire out of the dirt, during a lightening storm...haha we were safe though!
Then this morning we hiked and painted and it was very therapeutic..but so hot I legit thought I was going to die. We found an accordion in our apartment last week and we've been experimenting with that too haha fun times!

Houston, we have a baptism!

Hello, One last time! :') Houston was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this weekend! It was so powerful. The spirit was tangible.  It is such a bittersweet feeling to know this is my last pday and last email. I feel so much peace and fulfillment that the last 18 months of my life have been in the service of my God.  Around 4 years ago I prayed about how I wanted to serve a mission and asked Him if that was in line with His will for me. Heavenly Father led me to a verse in Doctrine and Covenants chapter 4 that says "..if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work". This was one of the rare times where my prayer was answered specifically and written out right in front of me.  Since then, I have received many more answers to my prayers. Its P-day Again!

Hi! Soo I mentioned it Saturday, but I have been transferred! I'm in Maryvale with my MTC companion, Sister Hall. We live with two Hermanas, Cienfuegos and Robison, who also came out the same time as us! Its so fun!  Maryvale is a tad different than Northern Glendale haha. The 2 sounds you always hear are cats meowing and sirens haha.. When I told Flo, a convert in my ward, that I was being transferred to Maryvale, she looked scared, started crying, hugged me super tight and started saying a Catholic type prayer haha.. Kinda made me worried about coming down here but its really not bad, and, the Lord protects His missionaries! I haven't met too many people yet, but the ones I have met are so generous and kind! We spent Thanksgiving with the Floyd's and their friends and family! They were also super kind to us and made us feel like family.  The sealing I went to was a sealing for Jenna and William Schwartz. Roadtrip!

Heyy!! I'm emailing today because its transfer week so P-day is on Tuesdays every 6 weeks. So this was the longest week but so jam packed busy. Let's start with sad news so that we have a happy ending haha.. soo we lost our favorite ward, Sonoran Mountain, with all our progressing investigators, who we love so much, and our family away from home, the Zamarrons :( There were ward boundary and building changes. So, since transfers are this week, they fixed it all up and we got transferred out of that ward. But, we still have our 2 other great wards, and new ward, Arrowhead ranch (which actually has a lot of members we already know because the ward boundaries changed between them and Sierra Verde).  ANYWAY, I feel comfort and peace about this whole situation and... drum roll please, SISTER KNOX IS AN STL (sister training leader)!!
