Not too much to talk about this week! We had exchanges and I went back to my first area again! I saw Shaggi.. good ol dog. We had a stake meeting and breakfast and President Weathersby’s house which was fun! We had interviews with President on Friday which is always nice. I tried fry bread this week. It was super good! It would've been better if it wasn't my second dinner that night haha but still yummy!  We explored Black canyon city some more today with the other sisters in our zone. We tried the Rock Springs pie place.. not the best but its a cool place! Heres some pictures from our adventures today! We found 2 new people to teach! A single mom with 3 kids. The oldest is 10 and she's super smart and creative and excited to start activity days! One of our wards had a talent show and it was really funny because Sister Mathews and I have been out on our missions so long we didn't know half the songs that were played or sung 😂😂 We had a few dinners cancelled...

Back to the Ghetto for a day

Hey! So this week we had 2 exchanges, a zone conference, and a fireside! The first exchange, a french speaking sister, Sœur Barnett came to my area! We posted a singing video together because she loves to sing too! The next exchange, I went back to the Ghetto and was confused all day because no one spoke English..haha. I was with Hermana Bastian. We had an unplanned lunch and someone gave us some homemade papusas... So. Good. And then for dinner we had homemade sopes! Super good too. Earlier this week we got a text from President Smith, in the mission presidency, asking if I would take care of the music for the fireside (devotional) on Sunday 😅 he said they needed a chorister, pianist, and a special musical number.. ha.. SO, I conducted, Sister Mathews played piano, and we scrambled to put together a musical number before Sunday, in one of the busiest weeks of my mission haha... and, it went great! I remembered, one time in Prescott, President Collins wanted me to sing a...

2 Baptisms:)

Yay! This week Anna and Riley Wiberg were baptized and confirmed! Such a great weekend. The spirit was strong, a lot of the ward came and supported them, and we did an impromptu musical number haha. We met with a kinda crazy man (with a couple members - don't worry we are safe) up in black canyon city. Ha that place is sketch, but its an adventure.  We had lots of lessons and meetings this week! With Jenna, we taught the plan of salvation because that was what she was most curious about! It was so cool as she learned more and shared how it helped answer questions other religions couldn't answer about where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going. With Raeghan, we just mostly talked about where she's at. Haha she said its weird for her, as a person being taught by missionaries, to receive other missionaries (that she knows from the ward that are serving in other places) weekly emails. She was like "do you talk about me in your emails like th...

Chasing Miracles

Image
Hey! Super pumped to be companions with Sister Mathews! Shes super cool. We are pumped for the Wibergs, Anna and Riley, for their baptism this Saturday!! 😁 So many miracles this week! One of the coolest was this Sunday when a young mom named Jenna walked into church. She has an 8 week old little boy and she has a strong feeling that she knew him before this life and that he came from somewhere. She remembered her Mormon friends growing up, and so she borrowed a Book of Mormon from the library, and has been studying it! This is the only church that teaches about where we came from, and so she started investigating on her own. She was truly led by the spirit :) she came to church yesterday and told us her story! She said, so far from what shes researched, the church patches up holes and answers questions that other churches were unable to answer. We are going to start teaching her this week :) This Sunday was fast and testimony meeting and I found this hymn and shared it in my test...
