The Week We Were Elders

Hello!
Sorry I didn't write last week, I was busy packing because I got TRANSFERED to the North Phoenix/Deer Valley area!! My new companion is Sister Vumiliya from Congo! Shes so cool and is tired of people asking her what food she eats in Africa haha 😂 She is so cute and funny. She has been out just a couple months so she's still learning some stuff and its fun helping her out :) She speaks 7 languages and English is one shes only really been using the past 2 months! Shes doing so well, you'd never guess she has only been speaking English since the MTC. Also stay tuned because she asked me to teach her to sing and shes gonna sing in Swahili!!

Katy and Lexi's baptism was last week before the transfer! It was so amazing. The spirit and love was tangible as Trey baptized his wife and step-daughter :) Sis Mathews and I sang "Amazing Grace (my chains are gone)" as a surprise at the baptism and it was just a really cool experience and Katy took it as a sign that she was making the right choice :) she was raised baptist and this has been a long rough journey for her but her biggest motivating factor is the peace she feels at church, when meeting with missionaries, etc. She is one of the coolest miracles I've witnessed on my mission for sure.

We have had lots of nasty service this week helping a few different hoarders pack up their stuff to move.. lots of cockroaches and other fun encounters. 😅
Bike life has been fun. It is actually really nice weather these days so its kinda great biking instead of driving around in the car all the time.

We  went to the Trunk or treats as elders haha everyone loved it.

We had stake conference for one of our wards (our two wards are in different stakes)  and President and Sister Collins spoke which was awesome as always :) They're the best! And President and Sister Smith spoke during a different session and they took all the missionaries out to Freddys for ice cream after! So fun :)

It's been a good week and I'm excited to be here in this area :)

Email me! Ask me questions! Tell me whats going on in your lives!
