Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year🎆

Hello! Can you believe it's 2019 tomorrow!? I can't!
This week was great because i got to Skype my family! 😊❤

We spent Christmas Eve-ning with the Valdez family. We had some good Mexican food and a piñata! We sung Christmas songs and they danced to some Mexican Christmas songs haha! It was fun! 

Christmas day we spent with 2 fun families too :) we hung out with the Shepherds and played board games and talked for a few hours, then we went to the Wells for dinner and more games and a bonfire:) it was a good way to spend the day!

Thia week we have helped a few families take down Christmas decorations, and visited a lot of members and had a few lessons! 

On Thursday night, we had the cool miracle of finding everyone we were hoping to visit that night! One door didn't answer, but we went across the street to a members house, and the family we were looking for was there! 

We had a last minute lesson with Meiko and Rico on Saturday and their sister Nikki joined! It was so cool. She said she was feeling she needed to go to church, but wasn't sure which church, and she prayed for a sign & 10 minutes later, we showed up. And we weren't even planning on having a lesson that day. It was crazy. So cool to witness and be a part of God answering someones prayers.

We also had a lesson with Daylan, and we needed a woman to come because when we showed up, his mom was leaving (as sisters, we cant be in a house with a male without another woman present) so we called the first person who came to mind, Sister Sawaya! She said that she was just driving home from running errands and was praying in the car to know what the Lord would have her do this week (her kids were going out of town the next day for a week trip), and 10 seconds later, we called and asked her to come to the lesson. She said it was an immediate answer to her prayers that the Lord wants her to serve! Its so cool and she converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ at age 19 and so it was really awesome for her to be there and testify of her conversion. :)

Well.. if nothing else, today or sometime this week, watch this video! Its funny and inspirational and applicable! Think of a simple, achievable goal you can accomplish daily in the new year! (Mine will be to read at least one verse of scripture from the Book of Mormon every day)

Houston, we have a baptism!

Hello, One last time! :') Houston was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this weekend! It was so powerful. The spirit was tangible.  It is such a bittersweet feeling to know this is my last pday and last email. I feel so much peace and fulfillment that the last 18 months of my life have been in the service of my God.  Around 4 years ago I prayed about how I wanted to serve a mission and asked Him if that was in line with His will for me. Heavenly Father led me to a verse in Doctrine and Covenants chapter 4 that says "..if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work". This was one of the rare times where my prayer was answered specifically and written out right in front of me.  Since then, I have received many more answers to my prayers. Its P-day Again!

Hi! Soo I mentioned it Saturday, but I have been transferred! I'm in Maryvale with my MTC companion, Sister Hall. We live with two Hermanas, Cienfuegos and Robison, who also came out the same time as us! Its so fun!  Maryvale is a tad different than Northern Glendale haha. The 2 sounds you always hear are cats meowing and sirens haha.. When I told Flo, a convert in my ward, that I was being transferred to Maryvale, she looked scared, started crying, hugged me super tight and started saying a Catholic type prayer haha.. Kinda made me worried about coming down here but its really not bad, and, the Lord protects His missionaries! I haven't met too many people yet, but the ones I have met are so generous and kind! We spent Thanksgiving with the Floyd's and their friends and family! They were also super kind to us and made us feel like family.  The sealing I went to was a sealing for Jenna and William Schwartz. Roadtrip!

Heyy!! I'm emailing today because its transfer week so P-day is on Tuesdays every 6 weeks. So this was the longest week but so jam packed busy. Let's start with sad news so that we have a happy ending haha.. soo we lost our favorite ward, Sonoran Mountain, with all our progressing investigators, who we love so much, and our family away from home, the Zamarrons :( There were ward boundary and building changes. So, since transfers are this week, they fixed it all up and we got transferred out of that ward. But, we still have our 2 other great wards, and new ward, Arrowhead ranch (which actually has a lot of members we already know because the ward boundaries changed between them and Sierra Verde).  ANYWAY, I feel comfort and peace about this whole situation and... drum roll please, SISTER KNOX IS AN STL (sister training leader)!!
