Transferred!
Hello!
So I got transferred and its crazy! I'm living in an apartment in my first area - where I was with Sister Knox - and I'm back in my last area's stake! AND there are people from most of my areas in my YSA here! Crazy.
So I'm finishing training for Sister Wells! She has been here 7 weeks and is from South Carolina! She is super happy to be here on a mission, which is so good, and we are working hard!
Its kinda hard living so far out of our area, and we have limited miles, so we have to be careful when we plan, but its good :) we don't really have anyone we are teaching currently, but we have faith that that will change soon!
So Elder Holland couldn't make it :( BUT Elder Gerrit W. Gong came! Along with Elder Ochoa of the seventy and Elder and Sister Frost. It was a great meeting and I received answers to my prayers as I prepared for and listened during this special conference. Pretty cool - its like general conference came to us!
We also had a special musical devotional with Jason Deere from the Nashville Tribute Band! It was super cool to listen as he told the stories behind his songs and then rocked out in the chapel 😂 it was awesome. He said "if you're sitting there thinking 'is this okay in the chapel?!' I'll let you know a few weeks ago I sang these same songs and a man named Russell M Nelson sat in the third row bobbing his bald head!" Haha it was pretty funny. He mostly sang songs from the Work album (I think?) Its all about Joseph Smith and the pioneers and what they went through. He also had all the missionaries come up and sing one of his songs with him. I saw Larry and Kendall! It was so sweet to see people I've taught:)
I got asked to share my testimony in the YSA ward because one of the speakers was sick, so that was fun. I love speaking in church :) i grateful for any and every chance I get to testify of our Savior and His work.
Well pray we find people to teach, or that they will find us!! We are knocking doors, talking to everyone we see on the street, and looking for service opportunities!
Don't forget! This week is #LightYourCommunity!! Here's the video for those who haven't seen it :) lighttheworld.org (its like a minute long and worth the watch!!)
I invite you all to go out of your way to love thy neighborhood! 😉😊
Love, Sista G
