Fully Packed Week!

Hello! This week has been jam packed with amazing meetings and devotionals, etc! We had 3 meetings with Elder Lynn G. Robbins of the quorum of the seventy. He is amazing. I learned sooo much this week.  I thought for my email this week, I'd just share some of the things I took away from the meetings/conferences/councils :)

Some takeaways from Elder Lynn G. Robbins:

Have a "to be" list and then a "to do" list of things you can do to accomplish the thing you're trying to be. So, take a christlike attribute.. humility. If I want to BE more humble, there are things I can DO to become more humble, such as pray to receive the gift of humility. (And don't be discouraged when you fall short or don't see progression in yourself)

😂Pride is like bad breath, noticeable and offensive to all except the offender

Remember that the battle is the Lord's ..and the Lord uses the weak and the simple (18-20ish year old missionaries, David, Joseph Smith, etc.) to accomplish his purposes, and to prove that the battle is truly His.  John 15:5 "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." We can do nothing without Him, but we can do ALL things with Him, who gives us strength and power.

You cant fall out of love, because its not something that just happens. Satan tricks struggling couples into thinking they fell out of love. But, we are agents to act not be acted upon. You cannot fall out of love because its a choice.

Be more resilient. Celebrate tough times; they will shape you, build you, and be for your good!

God is just and merciful, but He applies the maximum amount of mercy and minimum amount of justice because He loves us so much.

Are your prayers mighty prayers? Are you crying, pleading, counseling with, and pouring your heart/soul out to the Lord? (ASK! A-ask, S-seek, K-knock)

"Repentance is God’s ever-accessible gift that allows and enables us to go from failure to failure without any loss of enthusiasm. Repentance isn’t His backup plan in the event we might fail. Repentance is His plan, knowing that we will... It is a lifetime curriculum."

I suggest you read Elder Robbins talk from last conference, and his BYU devotional titled "Be 100% Responsible". It will change your outlook on how you act/react, and is sure to humble you. I know it did for me!

Here are some Greg Olson paintings that he showed at his devotional last night!

Love y'all!

Wranglers Roost!
This is a place that a member in our ward owns where people have receptions and family reunions.. it used to be a postman stop or something haha where postal service guys on horses in the olden days would stop and stay for the night.
We had an FHE there and we roasted marshmallows in the AZ heat! 😅 we also made the beds and cleaned up from their last guests who checked out, so now I'm a pro at hotel management and maid services..
